According to DisabilityJustice, 83% of disabled women will be sexually assaulted in their lives, experiencing higher rates of domestic and sexual violence than those without a form of disability. To help lower such rates and to empower those within the disability community, SIECUS has created and released a Comprehensive Sex Education for Youth with Disabilities. Everyone, regardless of ability, deserves to have a holistic understanding of their sexuality, and thanks to organizations like SIECUS, inclusive education options exist so everyone can be a healthy sexual citizen.
