As more states embrace cannabis access, consumers are heading into dispensaries for the first time to purchase products.

During the last nearly 90 years of cannabis prohibtion, the most common ask when buying cannabis is... will it get me high?

There are hundreds of chemical compounds happening synergistically with this botanical. Focusing on the THC percentage only without considering terpenes and other minor cannabinoids is a common mistake experienced by inexperienced consumers.

In this Forbes article, Chris Roberts reports the folly of consumer purchases of high THC products.

“THC shopping is almost as bad and dumb as buying wine based on how cool the label looks (which is also how some people buy weed).

Not only does THC content have nothing to do with how “good” the weed is, as recent research conducted by the University of Colorado and published in JAMA Psychiatry found, THC content is also a poor indicator of potency.

High-THC weed doesn’t even get you “high”!"
