DAISY THOMAS

Daisy Thomas has been a writer and editor for 25 years, having worked in the digital entertainment industry since university. An AAPI activist, advocate and public speaker, as well as political strategist, policy consultant, and social entrepreneur, Daisy has been organizing and developing grassroots movements, nonprofits, and women-owned startups in a professional capacity since 2000. Daisy has taught the Social Change Model of Leadership Development to economically at-risk communities for the last 12 years and has spent the last five working within/researching Utah to develop better modalities to better serve those living in rural and/or reservation areas.
While her advocacy efforts primarily focus on anti-human trafficking, criminal justice reform, and marginalized political engagement, Daisy is actively involved in the national plant medicine decriminalization movement, as well as the international cannabis financial sector. A Utah ERA Coalition Executive Committee member, Salt Lake Valley Gator and Junior League of Salt Lake member, Daisy has served locally on the Cottonwood Heights Arts Council, through her children’s school PTO, on several boards, councils, and committees, and in local, state, and regional politics. Daisy is married with four children, ranging from adult to preschool age.
